The Connected Classroom
Thank you for continuing my learning.
When we learn ourselves how to communicate the way the world does, then we can help our students.
I have learned how to further help the students explore how they can get the most out of being connected and how to become creators.
"The world belongs to those that create."
- Loved exploring google maps further
- The searching on Wikipedia was so interesting and definitely accessible for all learners
- I`m going to be exploring and researching so much with all the possibilities that you showed us. What better model for the students.
It made me again reflect on the importance of helping our students with the how not with the what.
Knowing how to use the internet is such a powerful learning tool and reaffirms, connects to and opens up so many different learning opportunities.
I really enjoyed the visual literacy session, reminding me of the power of images and the learning opportunities within. I can definitely adapt everything for my Grade 1 students.
It was a great reminder of using the power of images over text. My students are so great at this so now I am looking forward to digging deeper with them, helping them to make meaning with the use of images. I enjoyed browsing www.flickr.com and found some excellent photos to support our current inquiry.
Looking forward to tomorrow.
