Kids spend so much of their day connected, it makes so much more sense to teach them how to use them appropriately, effectively, and efficiently instead of complaining how they're always on their devices. The information is at their fingertips, so maybe we can back off the content piece a bit and focus on how they're gathering and scrutinizing content and, eventually, how they can add to it. They'll buy into our approach more if we show that we acknowledge their generation as it is instead of trying to impress ours upon them. How do we make them curious enough to think critically about something. In order to think critically about, analyze, debate, and expand upon a topic, you have to really care about it. They really care about connecting to the world, so let's use that.
